YCD is a not-for-profit youth group for Stratford youth between grades 5 and 12. The initiative began in 1999 and our focus is to provide a safe drop-in centre for youth with plenty of supervised programming and volunteer activities in and around their town.
YCD is involved in dozens of volunteer projects including Canada Day, Stratford Food Drive, youth recreation programs, YCD's Drama Program, Stratford Strawberry Festival, Children's Holiday Party, Stratford Winter Carnival, Stratford Community School, Glen Stewart Spring Fling, Stratford Youth Dances, Pride Week, and the Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal.
Through partnerships including the Town of Stratford, TYPS, Adventure Group PEI, Stratford RCMP, Stratford Lions Club, Stratford Rotary, Youth ConneXt PEI, ARCPEI, the Mayflower Seniors' Club, and many others, YCD provides programs for over 100 Stratford-and-area youth.
The Youth Room is located at 57 Bunbury Road in the Robert L. Cotton Centre (behind the Stratford Public Library).
